Another still life, completed in April 2003. This one was designed as a companion piece for World Builder. All kinds of divination tools, from the old standby Crystal Ball, to the more modern Computer Keys (you use them like Runes.) But the Reader has wandered off, the coffee is cold, and the crystal ball is showing nothing but the Screen Saver (to prevent Crystal Burn-In, of course.)
Made entirely in Lightwave® 7.5, with compositing in Adobe® Photoshop® to merge several different renders. (I used Photoshop to color the texture maps, too.) The Screen Saver in the crystal is Flurry, the default saver for Mac OS X (which isn't quite as nice as the one you can download from Calum Robinson, who wrote the original code, and gave permission to use the image here.)
