Orange Ribbons |
Orange Ribbons symbolize the Fight for Democracy. The color Orange was chosen to Remember Florida, where the wishes of the voters were completely ignored in order to put the Governor's brother in the White House.
Wherever you see an Orange Ribbon, you see someone who fights for Democracy, much as Red Ribbons have come to symbolize the fight against AIDS, Pink Ribbons the struggle against Breast Cancer, and Blue Ribbons stand for Freedom on the Internet.
With this in mind, I have designed an Orange Ribbon, set against the background of the Declaration of Independence, to show my dedication to the cause of freedom and equality for all people in the United States. And I'm making it, in several variations, available to anyone who would like to show theirs. Just control-click on a Mac or right-click with Windows to save the picture to your own hard drive, and then upload it to your own page.
