This tutorial shows one method of adding a pattern to any kind of drapery using Photoshop. Although I'm using painted clothing in the examples, this would work just as well for any other kind of draped cloth, whether painted, rendered, or photographed. All you need is to be able to isolate the cloth on its own layer.
